You'll have another set of PID's available after Spellhold, if I remember correctly. He's just really, really scared of you(or, rather, the fact that you're without a soul, dying and turning into the Slayer and he loves you). And there's more in the Underdark/Chapter 6/etc(in Hell, even).
As for the drunk talk, you're supposed to slip him a glass of a very strong wine - but if you got it to work, that's good.
As for "it's time" talk, it's just indicative that his chain of "regular talks" is over and there won't be more(although, again, if I remember correctly, there're quite a few of situational talks all around).

Got to spellhold and yay got it to work. But now I'm worried I screwed something up because after I became the slayer Xan won't talk to me at all. Just say how I just tried to kill him and he doesn't have anything to say. Is that supposed to happen or am I supposed to have PIDs available?

Good to hear! :)

I have had one problem (other than damn Xan I wasn't even done with all the side quests and your telling me its time! I need to level grind man!). I can get the drink and make love thing to happen. I've got a natural charisma of 17, I've got the ring of human influence on, and still he turns me down. Getting him to drink does nothing than him...having a drink and then the conversation ends. What am I doing wrong? I've gotten all the love talks, I think.

You're not going to ruin things forever with Xan with RE, I just don't remember if he has a reaction to this particular encounter. He reacts to quite a few, though, but you'll always be able to settle things down.

Thanks! Figured out what I did wrong. Silly me missed the first option. *face palm*

Oh! Could you tell me what Xan's reaction to charname having a fling with Sola via Romantic Encounters on the non bonded path? I'm thinking it'll be interesting for RP (since I've got the Sola mod installed as well), but I want to make sure I'm not going to ruin things forever with Xan.

Oh, and "friendly" path has some romantic content in ToB, if you choose to, but before that? It's friends only.

You choose a path in Xan's joining dialogue, like the mod's readme says. If you choose the first option("sometimes your eyes met, and everything seemed possible"), then the non-bonded path starts.

Kivan's BG2 romance does not do the shut-downs of other romances, like normal romances do; instead, KivanLike variable will go three points down if you're romancing Xan(or Anomen), but you can still be friends and more with Kivan at the same time.

If things don't go very well with Xan after Spellhold, don't worry, they're supposed to. Just keep playing. :) Oh, and before Spellhold? Wear that ring of human influence, get him in a tavern and tell him you'd like to get drunk("for tomorrow we'll be dead"). You'll like the result.

Two questions:

How do I get the romance started on the non bonded path? I've told him I'm attracted to him but so far its stayed firmly in friendship.

And does the Kivan mod conflict with Xan? As in will it keep me from being able to romance Xan? I'm worried that I accidentally shut down the Xan romance before it even got started!
