Looking forward to an English version of the Adventure Pack!

I released a new version of my Adventure Pack last week - here.
A lot of things, that aren't part of BG1 UB, are restored by this mod.

(For example: Velvet & the cockfight, Llindellyn the archer, Mal-Kalen, Svlast the fallen Paladin, Nim Furlwing, Krammoch Arkhstaff & his secret passage to the Iron Throne's HQ... and more stuff...)

It's only in german at the moment. Now i'm waiting for what Overhaul Games may restore in BGEE.
After i will have checked that, i will continue my work and restore Olivia and some other stuff as well. (Then an english translation will be added too ;) )

Jarl :)

I remember icelus refusing to touch this. His reaction was funny IIRC.
That from the guy who restored the Summon Cow spell...

You guys can do it, but we purposely looked at the bird lady and said "hell no". :-)
I know why too...  After turning into a bird, she can't be looted or killed for that uber awesome totally overpowered weapon that shouldn't have been put on her but was by some mere 'random' chance   :P

One quest that has to do with a polymorphed character sounds different to you?
Yes, it does. If it didn't, by that reasoning, we would leave Aerie an ogre in the circus because there was a polymorph used in some other quest. In fact, that bears more similarity to Melicamp than Olivia. In those cases, you need to polymorph some creature back into a humanoid. In Olivia's case, she willfully wants to be changed from a humanoid into a seagull. Polymorphing and shapeshifting are hardly uncommon in the Realms, but this willful plea to change into some other being (rather than the original form) is unique as far as I recall. What's funny is that you're the one who called for this UB investigation and six years later you're the one protesting it :D.

Well, I have nothing against it, really. But in Aerie's case we are speaking of a different game (SoA), right? And investigating doesn't automatically implies restoration. Said that, this quest won't be any worse than many other restored ones presently offered by UB. On the contrary...  ;)

it bears too much a similarity with Melicamp.
Not really. Hardly at all, actually.

Well, obviously she needs to give the wand to the party *before* turning into a gull, so there needn't be any conversation after that, just a Polymorph(SEAGULL) EscapeArea(). Besides, everyone knows birds can't talk :).
Tell that to the guy running from Melicamp  :P

sounds cool to me.  why not restore it?

I think the only reason they didn't is that they didn't have an animation for a bird to be on the ground having a conversation and then take off in flight.  If there is a way to get around that, it would be cool to see it in game.

I guess this has been cut because it bears too much a similarity with Melicamp.

I stumbled across this one recently in perusing the BG1 crebase. She is also on the list of unused creatures but crossed off without notes, meaning no action I take it.
Quote
BEGIN ~OLIVIA~

IF ~false()~ THEN BEGIN 0 // from:
  SAY #5078 /* ~Please, fair travellers, leave me to the muse and the gulls. They soothe even the rockiest soul. ~ */
  IF ~~ THEN DO ~~ EXIT
END

IF ~false()~ THEN BEGIN 1 // from:
  SAY #15478 /* ~The gulls are even more beautiful than the winds they ride on, are they not? ...I will be one, someday, you know. I long for it more than anything.~ */
  IF ~~ THEN DO ~~ JOURNAL #15792 /* ~The druid Olivia, in her seat by the sea, weaves her words as one would weave a spell. She yearns to be a gull, someday, and fly in their midst. It is a noble dream and, if I can grant it, I surely will, if for no other reason that to watch the beauty of her flight...~ */ EXIT
END

IF ~false()~ THEN BEGIN 2 // from:
  SAY #15480 /* ~You are kinder than you'll ever know. Here, take this wand of lightning as a small token of my gratitude. I'll not need it where I'm going.~ */
  IF ~~ THEN EXIT
END

IF ~false()~ THEN BEGIN 3 // from:
  SAY #15484 /* ~You know little of wisdom and less of beauty.~ */
  IF ~~ THEN DO ~~ EXIT
END

IF ~false()~ THEN BEGIN 4 // from:
  SAY #15485 /* ~Stay and watch the gulls for a while, if you will. This world is a patient one.~ */
  IF ~~ THEN DO ~~ EXIT
END
What an odd unfinished quest. Kind of cool though. Apparently, the party has to find some sort of spell or potion that will transform her into a gull. After receiving that, she evidently should reward the party with a lightning wand and fly away.

So no one wanted to restore this? :( Her "seat by the sea" seems to suggest the northwest peninsula of Shipwreck's Coast, which is a fairly empty area.

What about taking a look at olivia.cre ?

It seems she has been erased from the TotSC list and I can't see any reference to her anywhere else... ;D
