I'm still experiencing this issue. The characters in the bard competition don't get a chance to finish reading/singing their text because it switches to the next one too quickly.

This happens in all of my cutscenes, by the way. Even in the cutscenes with Irenicus and the Cowled Wizards. The text changes way too quickly, and the characters don't get a  chance to finish reading it.

Since it's been sooooo long with no responses, does this mean we will have to live with this ?  :'(

This is a problem with your FPS setting; since the FPS settings control the speed of walking, animations and other graphical displays having it really high (ie 50) means that audio will not be able to catch up to the speed of animations which means in cut scenes all of your audio will be cut short.  Lowering your FPS will make the cut scenes more in sync but it will slow down the rest of your game.  I find that a speed of 40 allows a decent speed increase while still maintaining audio fidelity in most cut scenes.

I think it may have to do with the FPS setting; mine is set to 40 and it has the same problem.

I am having this problem. I do have the banter accelerator installed, so I'm wondering if this has to do with it. I have my FPS set to 50, and my CPU speed is above 1.2 Ghz.

We've had a report that the audio clips are playing too quickly (as in, starting a new one before the previous one has finished) even though the sync checks out on our test platform. If you've played that far, please let us know if you notice any such behavior. Please include your CPU speed.
