Having the same exact problem...and for some reason the "Run as Administrator" box is grayed out and cannot be checked.

Tried going to the properties for the shortcut, clicked the Advanced button and clicked on the "Run as Administrator" THERE, but it does no good whatsoever, DBG still will not start.

Some other mods like Virtue and Ashes of Embers are working fine...haven't played far enough to see about anything else, though.  Help?

Ok this is a vista problem ppl are having... (at least it was so for me)
So for you people who says: "I used to love DBG, but now he doesnt appear", you can stop posting weidulogs and such.

Vista creates secret backups for lots of files it think is important, so when you go editing .ini, (or installing some mods that interfere with important files) vista ignores your changes and uses it own backup files.

to solve this, you must:

- Run vista in XP-compatibility
- Run as Administrator

Each of these two are as important as the other!

Now this also solves the problem lots of people are having with not getting CLUAconsole to work...
Keep in mind that since you change from vista the game will use some different maps and files to look for info. Therefor, as an example, none of you vista saves will appear on your "load window" after the change.

Thank you
