Thanks to both of you for your replies. The install order will be useful and I'll install the Widescreen mod last.

I use the Widescreen Mod on my laptop to play at 1440x900 and I love it. Without it, everything is distorted, and everybody looks like they need serious Weight Watchers. If anything, I've noticed less instability than on the desktop that doesn't have it, despite having many more mods installed on the laptop, though that might be a memory thing. The laptop has 3GB RAM, the desktop 512MB.

I've just used the Widescreen mod in a new heavily-modded game of BG2, and from what I've seen so far (which isn't much; I'm still inside Château Irenicus) it's awesome.  I'm playing BG2 at 1440x900, and it seems fine so far.

This game I've just started contains a large number of mods, mostly collected from here and G3, and mostly following advice of posters here who've had experience of them.  I'm using following mods, installed in the following order (* means only certain components installed):

1PP
*BG2 Fixpack  (G3)
eSeries
gMinion
*Tutusounds
Ascension
Kelsey (SoA and ToB
Banter Pack
Flirt Pack
Ding0 Quest Pack
Unfinished Business
*Ashes of Embers
Assassinations
*Ding0 Tweak Pack
Improved Horns
*Oversight
*BG2 Tweak Pack
Item Value Tweaks
Virtue
Widescreen

I've not experienced any bugs yet, admittedly as I said I've not yet reached Athkatla

I've reinstalled and patched all five IE games. So far I've installed EasyTutu and Degreenifier and lightly-modded BG1. My next intentions are to mod the other games, starting with BG2. Does anyone have any advice on the best mods/ combinations of mods and installation order for this game ? I will be playing with the expansion pack (ToB). There looks to have been some great NPCs created for BG2 but there are so many mods that I'm imagining some of them must conflict with others.

Also, does anyone have any opinions on the Widescreen mod ? The only game I think I'd want this for is Planescape : Torment because now that I have EasyTutu I can get all the other games to run in 640*480 - 1024*768, but with P:T I have to play 640*480 (although in that resolution you do get to see all the marvellous artwork in close-up detail). From what I've read the Widescreen mod sounds potentially unstable and I don't to ruin what I've already done, but it would be nice to have the option to play this game in higher resolutions.
