I've gotten two versions of the v16 beta, so I don't need anymore.  This should give us a good base to work from.

I have it, Icelus.

I'll send it to you right away.

If anyone has Andy's *beta* version of v16 (not the recent translation maintenance release of v16), can you please email it to me?  Thanks!

Guess that answers my question I posted.  I played through the Boo kidnapping quest and didn't get the gems either this time.  I guess something changed since version 14.

Oh - one other thing.  I remember in a previous version of UB, if you told the wizardess in the government district that she didn't need any gems to enhance her beauty, you'd get a bunch.  This last playthrough I didn't - although the dialogue seems to suggest you should be.  Didn't know if that was an intentional change or not.  A different dialogue option did get me a gem bag, which I didn't notice in previous playthroughs.

I'm anal about getting every possible spell in all my caster's spellbooks, especially when I play my berzerker mage.   But after learning every 3rd level spell in vanilla BG2 + the Wraithform spell added in by UB, the Wraithform spell is pushed off the bottom of the spellbook.  I can't figure out a way to "page down" to access it.  Do I have any way of reaching it to memorize it other than erasing a spell previous to it so it fits again?

Nope, AFAIK. Better keep a good supply of scrolls for erasing/relearning if you intend to keep up the hobby...

A closed beta had been given out to few betatesters by Andyr in July 2007. Unforunately since then, no improvements have been made and Andyr fell again victim to real life commitments...  :)

One last question, if I may.  Pretty sure the answer will be "it's an engine limitation" but I'll ask anyway...

I don't think I have any other mod that adds new spells.

Thanks for any replies.

Oh yes, before I forget, the Minsc THACO bug is another big one.  And I just added a post to the thread about it, to explain the contradiction between people saying it fixes itself on Minsc's levelup and those who say it doesn't.  They're both right, sorta.

Honestly, almost all the serious bugs I'm encountering are in the Boo Kidnapping quest.  Probably won't be installing it again until a new version comes out fixing the issues, it's just too painful to enjoy as it stands.   It's a shame, it's a fun little quest.  Although I'm sensing that buffing Minsc's strength to 19 is going to be removed too, which I thought was a good thing, heh, so the next update to that mod is going to be bittersweet regardless.

Ah well.  Don't mean to be bitchy about it... hopefully you guys know how much I appreciate the work that you all do, for free.  But I figured if even someone like me is putting a mod into limbo pending fixes, you'd want to know about it.  Or maybe not, but I'm a pain in the ass anyway.

Well, Andyr had packaged already some months ago a Beta 16 with several bugfixes. Are you guys working on that build, Icelus?

We're working on it--sort of.  No promises of release dates are being issued at the moment, but the mod is not abandoned.  Just... dozing.  :)

Disoriented as I am, I would never deliberately make you guess if I had snuck in a bugfix when the changelog clearly only states that there has been a translation update.

I see a new version (16) for the spanish translation just came out.

My question is:  Any chance some much needed bug fixes snuck in there, like unkillable trolls and Nirthli (sp?)being fixed, or do we still have to manually patch to fix them?

Same question re: this bug which is noted in the G3 Fixpack Overview:

Unfinished Business v15: The 'Minor Dialogue Restorations' component will corrupt an area script at the de'Arnise Keep, causing issues ingame or causing other mods that alter this script to report errors or fail to install. A fix has been provided to the Unfinished Business team and will be included in the next UB release.

I might as well report a small bug I experienced in v15, by the way.  During the extended Illithium quest, If you visit the Temple Ruins but don't meet Unger's brother while you're there (he's at the dead end of a hallway you never really need to go down), and then you go back to Unger in the Copper Coronet, it starts Unger's initial line in a conversation with his brother but then aborts because the brother -isn't- there.  I discovered it because I reloaded a save in the middle of the temple ruins, thinking I'd already talked to the brother by the time of the save, but I hadn't.

Thanks much for your attention :)
