Just saying that we're probably (tentatively) all set for the moment. Huge thanks to everyone who volunteered.

I've got a great actor for Korin, but I may be persuaded to change Holvir part - send me your samples at kulyok, at
gmail.com, please. But I'm about to send scripts to the others very soon, so! :)

I might be tempted to give it a go. Probably for the ranger. but anything really to help it along, I want to be playing this mod soon!

Over the summer I met Feuille, who voiced Auren. It was a bit odd at first because I saw who I was talking to but I heard something similar to Auren (Feuille changed her voice a bit to do Auren's accent).

I personally think Sarah sounds like a big whiny baby with a cold. Can't stand her voice actress either...:(

I have to play Gavin with the sound off, because every time I hear Matt's voice, I get giggle fits. He's a great guy, but I just can't play with the sound on. I just can't. I have no difficulty playing IWD2 NPC with the sound on, however, because the giggle fits inspired by "Is that your spleen?" or "CHAAAAAARRGE!" are a lot more entertaining.

Hmm. the_bigg as Korin... man, that's so, so tempting... ! :)

But, yeah, I know the feeling, having voiced a few lines for Assassinations. Also, I've seen SisterVigilante and Dorotea in real life, and when I came back and played mods with their voices for the first time after a long break, I was like: "Hey, I ate spaghetti with that guy!  What is he doing in my game?"

(With jcompton's TBH interviews, it's the other way around: "Oh, look! Kelsey *snort, snicker* is giving an interview!")

If they were meant to have an accent, I'd be the man for  Korin (thoughtful but irritated, high-pitched). Unfortunately, I speak It'lish rather than English, so I'm not the right man.

On the flip side, I can continue playing IWD without thinking "do I really sound this lame?", so perhaps it's for the best.

I've heard Jasper. It was enough for me. :) But feel free to send it my way!

You should hear my "Meeeeester Garibaldi!"

They shouldn't, no.  It would be tempting to create another Londo and Delenn Edwin and Jaheira, but it's just too risky.

Do they have accents?

I think non-earnest paladins always Fall.

And earnest! Forgot "earnest". Think Captain Carrot.

IWD NPC mod will be nearling completion soon. There are five NPCs in the project. All five require full voicing, which comes up to about 100-120 short lines. Two actors have already been (tentatively, and with much gratitude on my part) chosen; three more remain.

If you are willing to become one of them, and if
- English is your first language;
- you'll be able to record with the minimum amount of noise(which is relatively easy; if you are not sure how, see the link below);
- you'll be willing to play the role. No special training is required, and in computer games, there's no such thing as overacting,

then, please, take a look at the samples. If your (male) voice is not low enough, this is a bonus.

a) Nella(female human fighter), a calm, confident and serious young woman.

Sample 1: So, as we are in this together, we might as well know each other better.
Sample 2: I often come here.  Watching the blades being made... it is just like magic.
Sample 3: Oh, not the place again.

b) Holvir(male human paladin), a brave, noble, (slightly) pompous young man.

Sample 1: A fine display of swords.  The work of a true craftsman.
Sample 2: Our first mission is complete.  My friends, this is a big accomplishment.
Sample 3: Do *you* think I am ceremonious?

c) Korin(male elven ranger), a grave, thoughtful, often irritated young man.

Sample 1: I live so close to these streets, but now they look unfamiliar.
Sample 2: Elves have no place underground.  If there is something I hate, it is the rattling of rotting bones.
Sample 3: I am sorry for putting your lives at risk.  I shouldn't have-

Also, take a look at some helpful hints for audio recording:

Alternatively, you can contact me in this thread or via PM.

Deadlines: I'd like to hear from you before the end of February. Then, in the beginning of March, I'll be able to send you the full script(and the link to the working mod, too, if you like).
