Start over, from the begining. Use all scrolls of it. If you learned it, clear it our from your active memory. Save.  Change the header and stuff like you did the first time. Then, try summoning the scroll, and test that. If it does work, trying memorizing the spell and testing that. If that works good job. If that does not work, try re-learning the spell from the scroll, then test it again. If you can't re-learn it, i have no clue what to do. If the scroll does not work, try testing it from memory.
When you finish, can i have a copy of it?

What are you editing the spell with? Have you set minimum level correctly on each extension header?

ok, so i did what you said. At first i tryed copying and pasting ten spell abilities, and then modified them so it went from 1st missile 68, to 10th missile 77, however nothing changed. So i then tried adding a spell effect and filling the script out accordingly, however this time as soon as i selected a mage, the game crashed. What am i doing wrong?

The amount of missiles is controlled by the projectile type. By default the spell has five extension headers which use the projectile types 68 to 72. You need to increase the extension headers to ten, and have them use the projectile types 68 to 77.

hello, im looking to mod Magic missile so that it dishes out 10 missiles by level 10... but so far every attempt i've made hasn't worked. I've tried everything i can think of. I'm new to modding BG files also, so any suggestions/solutions are greatly appreciated.

(im using the mod for BG2 and ToB)
