According to their Item Descriptions, all versions of, for example, Scale Mail, have the same armor class. If base Scale Mail is AC 6, then Scale+1 is AC 6, Scale+2 is AC 6, and so on.

The Gondish Katar: The description would be a little bit better if it said that it grants a bonus to disarming traps, rather than detecting them. And how the hell is a big, many-bladed, hunk of shiny metal going to help you hide in shadows? Finally, I would make the AC bonus be only against Piercing and Slashing weapons.

Hmm, the book IS written in the era of 3E, so that might explain it... :P

Heh.  Don't forget that they probably miraculously regained the ability to cast spells when 3E rolled around......except of course 3e also would have retconned the past so they never couldn't practise magery.  Maybe they just thought they couldn't.

Well, guess this armour was made before that then.  I totally thought everyone knew that sea-elven chain was designed by sea elves, for sea elves, back when sea elves could cast sea elf magic.  Not these days though, obviously.  I mean, it'd be silly to make armour that'd let you cast spells that you can't cast to begin with.  Downright buffoonistic, even.

No, I read somewhere (tangled webs series, i think) that the sea-elves where especially grouchy at the drow for taking away the sea-elveses casting abilities, right before the drow where driven into the underdark.

Maybe they just have sorcerors.

Well, obviously they do.  How do you think this armour came into existence?

Sea-elven Scale +2

This suit of scale mail has been crafted by sea-elves, and with the same elven precision their land-dwelling cousins display, they have constructed it of such fine materials that it will not impede a mage or rogue's unique abilities.

It has an eelskin backing with scales of some unknown deep-sea creature sewn on.  Whether through magic, or merely the materials it was made with, the armour glistens even when dry, and its flamboyant colours have not been dulled from its long stay above water.

STATISTICS:

Armor Class: 4
Weight: 8
Requires: 9 Strength
Not Usable By:
 Druid

Sea elves don't know how to use magic... They have no mages.

It's sold by the armour merchant in the Umar Hills.  uhmer03.sto to be exact.  He also sells some non-magical shields, and some plate mail +1, studded leather +1, and a small shield +1.  Or her.  I forget which is which, actually.
Thanks for telling me, I'll go have a look.
Great mod, by the way, I hope it's not too late for some midnight praise.

I so support the reasons why clerics should be able to use swords, and so on.

Okay, the banded armour description has been changed, and as suggested in chat, it has a more sinister story behind it, rather than just "the adventurers forgot where the cave was".
Greetings, Creators of AoE.
I have found the Bola, the Katar, the Dwarven Field Plate and the Sea - Elven Scale. Where do I find the Eternal Age armor?
*would really like to know*

Those cavemen were a hardy breed.
