Grabbing a full party did the trick.  Thanks. :)  I was getting a bit worried when even a clean install crashed on me.

Works like a charm. :)

That's odd, I thought I had fixed the script so that it can be used for less than 6 party members.

However, from your report of it it sounds as if that's the problem causing it. Maybe try to use DBG to get out of Irenicus' Dungeon, wait till you have 6 party members, before activating the script.

BTW don't worry about your luck :) I'm pretty certain it is an issue with the script, given its haunting familiarity. Can't shake off the old bugs properly  >:(

If this solution works, please post here, as it means that I'll have to go back to look at my less-than-6-member party checks :) And figure out something from there.

Given my luck, this is likely something peculiar to me.  I made a fresh install of BG2, ToB, the ToB patch and Baldurdash (non-Weidu).  I then installed my usual mods, nothing earth shattering--pretty much everything hosted here along with a few other NPC mods.  I started a new game, cutscene, blah blah, then Imoen came to rescue me.  Well, after I got out of the cage, I tried using the Solo With A Party AI script on my PC only, not Immy.  The 'party has gained an item' message flashed, whereupon the game crashed to the desktop.  Okay, no problem.  I figured something I'd installed wasn't compatible.  So I deleted my override and save folders as well as weidu.log, chitin.key and dialog.tlk and replaced them with the clean install I keep for backups.  I installed *only* the AI script with the same result.

Is this just my luck, or should I refrain from turning on the script until I'm out of Irenicus' playpen?  I'd really like to give this a try; I've been wanting for a while to play a solo game, but I can't not have Kelsey with me and I'd miss the character interactions.

Anyway, thanks for your advice. :)
