Okay, yeh, you shouldn't be getting a Virtue drop at all if they're hostile by default.

True, if Solaufein is still there when the patrol arrives, you get no dialogue. They turn hostile automatically.

I am not 100% sure about it but I think I did it a bit differently this time. As far as I remember the patrol arrives (being neutral) and then you get a dialogue with their leader. Well, we got a bit impatient standing there together with Solaufein and scouted a bit to the north. It turned out that they were just a few steps into the fog of war and immediatly turned hostile when they saw us.

When killing the Svirfneblin patrol to get the helm, Virtue continues to decrease all the way down to 1. Version 18 installed.
