Just install the one from Ease-of-Use and don't change anything else. I guess we should add a level 40 cap (this is effectively a cap remover) to G3Tweaks, I'll try to remember for the next version.

Use patch 26498, then install baldurdash.  Only install the beta patch if you're experienceing the issues it fixes directly, and you'd install that before any mods (which includes baldurdash).

Use the XP Cap remover that is included with G3 Tweaks.  Do not install the stand-alone one.  I do not know what Katana Pair and Black Rose are but there shouldn't be a problem.

Out of those, I would strongly recommend installing G3 Tweaks last.  Install Ease-of-Use first.  The others can be in any order.

Ok, kinda new to this,

so as I understand it I should:
Uninstall everything
install game SoA
install official patch SoA (or do I want region of terror?)
install Baldurdash
install all the bigger mods like dbg, ub, quest, G3 anniversary, G3 Tweaks, black rose, some of Ease of Use (anything I sdhould particularly leave out)
Install npc mods compatible with SoA (including edwin romance, corthala romantique, nehtaniel, kelsey etc)
Install tweaks like xp cap remover, Katana pair, spitems

does that work, is that the right order?
thanks in adavnce
cheers

Both TDD and Ease of Use touch the cutscene that's causing you problems-- I'd ensure you haven't installed the "Shorter Cutscenes" component of either mod, although you'll need to reinstall the game to modify the selected parts of TDD, since it's not WeiDU (one of the many reasons we're not that partial to it).

lots of bitterness towards  the TDD around, maybe I should start listening.
What's so bad about it (besides the bugs- aren't there fixes for those anyway?)
what would you recommed (considering I don't and won't have ToB) in order to "renew the experience" of BG2
as much as possible?

Basically I want to play TDD with as many npc/quest mods as well as some tweaks/ease of use etc...
what am I doing wrong?
Playing TDD is what you are doing wrong.

I just put a whole bunch of mods on my computer but I'm having some problems.  Basically I have TDD and all the SoA mods I could find (Dungeon be Gone, anniversary, tweaks, quests, ub, kelsey, nehtaniel, edwin romance, solaufein, etc).  I start the game, Irenicus (silently) tells me not to throw rocks and that he wants to go to the underdark.  DBG does its thing, although sometimes the movie type scene (where it's the game screen but you have no control and little words appear above avatars) appears and the game kinda freezes up.  Irenicus babbles to Imoen and no spellhold guys show up at promenade scene, game freezes, etc...

It seems that all of my folders are stuck on "Read-only" and won't change
