So Cailean is going to have a dog?

Maybe.  Then again, maybe not.

Whats a Northern Wild Spurgus  ???

hehehe

But honestly now, I want to know

Spurgus is Ghreyfain's dog.  http://photo.pocketplane.net/slides/Spurgus.html (he won't, however, be Cailean's dog.)

A Northern Wild Spurgus won't interfere with Cailean's bow, either, unless one of his abilities is perching on a shoulder or arm.
The question is, will he fit into a backpack?
I was wondering if something like the Jade Hound would work, to get around this difficulty. Only the animal would be active for longer than 3 minutes. I don't know. How would Cailean feel about a shrinking familiar? Would it be the same?

A Spurgus pet would be very cool. :)

All the abilities mentioned would suit him quite well, I think.  Now, you might think "That dog's totally overpowered!" but he's been nerfed a bit with his funky eyes.  You could simulate this in-game with a blindness effect of some sort.

Will Spurgus provide his own voicing?  And who will make his baldurized portrait?

Spurgus is a chick magnet, plus a Northern Wild Spurgus is resistant to cold and smowTM attacks.

I believe Cailean should have a Northern Wild Spurgus as his familiar.

I've seen pictures of the Northern Wild Spurgus and he is very cute, but what are his abilities?

He pwnz teh cats.

What about a gynorormous microscopic microbe - a five foot germ!!!

Although useful ("go give Irenicus the flu!"), a five foot germ is just too big to fit in a backpack.
