Raising will cost you a constitution point. I don't know if you knew that, because if you raised Jaheire 3 times she will definetly get weaker. Or doens't that really matter?

 ::)I misspoke about monster AI. The *ordinary* monsters i.e., hobgoblins, xvarts etc. are pretty much still dumb. The assassins display the improved AI, mages don't close with you, and keep their distance. Silke was a tough battle(lost 2 of 4), and I am unable to beat Karlat yet.

These creatures remain basically the same, I have not altered them much. I also doubt you will notice a big difference in their AI aside from the usage of shouts perhaps.

When my party members die early in the game, I usually reload.

We've made it to Nashkel, picked up Minsc and are going to do his quest. I've played the game straight so far..I normally leave Candlekeep at lvl 2 now, but this game I'm doing from scratch. I *did* have to CLUA in some money to pay for raising dead. The party is Lvl 2 except for Jaheira, who keeps getting killed by Gibberlings!! Three times! You definitely need to use your thief. The monster AI doesn't seem to be greatly improved, but it's early of course. I'm glad you kept the boots of stealth(downgraded) in the game though. Not a complaint, just an observation, the price of raise dead makes money a severe problem early in the game.
