Would love to see a fully compatible BGT version of Finch (there's a number of banters that are known to misfire with the current BGT version) someday. As many folks have already said it's a superbly done NPC mod - she's as enjoyable as (if not even more so than) most of bioware's NPCs imho; the mod as a whole is very high quality.

I wish all NPC mods out there could take notes from her.

@ithildur, did you try this version: TESTERS NEEDED: Finch v4.0 BETA for Tutu, BG:EE and BGT!

I'm not aware of any banter misfiring on BGT, but just le me know in case I'm wrong, possibly with as much details as you can, and I will fix them.

I was modifying Finch's code to make use of the new macro HANDLE_AUDIO, when I've noticed that in Finch's audio subfolder there is also a copy of Imoen28.wav. This seems to be identical to the file already present in both BG:EE and Tutu, so I don't see any reason why it should be copied in override. There is a (maybe historical) reason for this file to be there ? Can I safely remove it ? Does anyone know ?

Edit: I just went ahead and deleted it.

The only chance would be if Bons has it stashed away on a drive somewhere. We're not really in much contact these days, but I've attempted to reach her.

Currently my modified mod should work with Tutu and BG:EE, but is not compatible with BGT. I may consider adding BGT support later on, but I'm not making any promises. Also if someone else wants to help with that, or even take over completely, I would gladly accept.

I'm planning to change few more things before making the unofficial mod publicly available for testing sometime next week, in the meantime I can send a dropbox link to the current beta to whoever wants to take a look.

Yes, of course compatibility with all platforms provided by the original package would be desirable, but I am currently busy with other things. So - what was your point?

Actually I have played the Finch in BGT... it was unofficially tweaked to be compatible by someone from the BiG World team, some time ago(as in, years ago). If you look at the Fennek's link, you see that it's actually in BGT-weidu in 2010. 

So just saying that if "we" were to go to make an official BGEE release, it would be desirable that the mod would be a BGT compatible too.

Thank you for fixing up Finch, I know a lot of people really enjoy using her. Please send it to me. I'd like to see her tested with Tutu first before posting, though. Anybody feel like taking on that particular challenge?

jastey, Finch is one of my favourite NPC mods and it is a pity it's not available for BG:EE, so I decided to update the mod myself.

Currently I have a working version, but more testing may be required in both BG:EE and Tutu to make sure it works properly.

I've tracked all my changes with TortoiseSVN, using a local repository. Other than adding BG:EE support without, I hope, breaking compatibility with Tutu, I didn't change anything else except moving the tp2 file inside a renamed finch folder to avoid cluttering the main game folder.

One small issue is that the large portrait for BG:EE (resized from the tutu one with a Lanczos filter) looks a bit blurry in-game. Do you know if a larger resolution version of the original portrait exists?

Please le me know how can I share the modified mod and, more importantly, if I'm allowed to do so.

Finch NPC

First dialog (There's something slimy in my bedroll) doesn't go on. If one clicks on continue, the dialog (monologue?) stops...

Does a special person have to be in the area? Or does she simply complain about travelling?
