Maybe it's just me, but when I look at the original portrait waaaaay back at the beginning of the thread... I kinda see Jeremy Irons.  Maybe a young Jeremy Irons.  Keep in mind, if I were weird like that I would stalk Jeremy Irons, who is a sexah, sexah man.

On the subject of stubble, as a woman with a stubbly husband, I like it quite a bit, just not when he insists on actually rubbing his face against mine.  Exfoliation is one thing...

Several of my female characters made somewhat lewd comments when they saw that portrait. Niiiiiiice.

(P.S. Faramir in his ranger gear would make a GOOD Cailean portrait. 'M just sayin'...)

Three of my female characters purred upon viewing that picture. One wanted to make him take a bath, but then she's weird like that. Well done.

I like the scruffy alternate you posted. Very, very credible. You could well believe this guy's been on the run for a while.

And, he's hot.

At the moment, my guy has stubble. I don't mind if he kisses me with it, as long as he's kissing me. I think that's probably something that can be worked into a flirt.

<CHARNAME> *Kisses Cailean*
Cailean: I am sorry, my love. I should not treat your delicate face so harshly. Would you give me a few moments to shave?
<CHARNAME> If it pleases you, but truly, a kiss from you is worth the scratch of a few whiskers.

Seriously, though, I didn't know elves grew beards.

Who ever did this alternate portrait did a really nice job with it but it looks a bit rough for a half-elf IMO.  It would be prefect if he were human, except the ears of course.  If you like I can see what I can come up with while trying to keep with his original look (coloring features ect..)

Sure.  We really love seeing different artist's interpretations of Cailean.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'd kind of like to see a Mike Myers-Cailean. Just for humor purposes, of course. Could you imagine someone with Cailean's background running around with nasty yellow cracked teeth in that ridiculous clothing saying "yeah, baby!"
Malissana: Hello Cailean. Blah blah blah...
Cailean Myers: Hey, baby! Why don't we shag?

Or perhaps a Dr. Evil-Mike Myers-Cailean? the weird clothing from that one James Bond villian, a wee mole, and that little pinky-to-mouth thing when he does something clever.

I was going to say Fat Bastard but, uh..  we all know that wouldn't work out.

If Cailean does end up being based off happy, happy, Dr. Evil, don't forget about Mini Me!

Yeesh,  I'd have to file that one under "When Alternate Portraits Go Bad"

Well, his original portrait was a composite of a few different actors.

Anyway, we all have our ideas of what he looks like.  I have this one pic of Hugh Jackman that I keep meaning to try and make something of for my own personal use.  ;)

Ah-ha. I didn't think so.

Cailean just doesn't look like anyone.

Is Johnny Depp the "Cailean" type? ???

No, but he would make a good portrait.

Heh, now I think Harrison Ford is da bomb, but he's really not doing for me as Cailean.

He's way too human-looking, isn't he? If there ever was a male human, it would be Harrison Ford.

i really like the Harrison Ford one... and if you are taking requests... do you think you do one with Johnny Depp?

As Cailean or just as some adventurer? I could make him a swashbuckler out of SHEER LAZINESS . . . but I am so kidding, beause that would be lame.

A young Val Kilmer from Real Genius would be nice, but I think his jaw is too harsh for Cailean.  ;)

Would anybody be interested in basing a Cailean portrait entirely off my face? I can provide a variety of hilarious source material.

Sorry, Sim.  You're just not the Cailean type.  I know you're crushed and all, but don't worry, the pain will pass eventually.
