Okay, yeh, having him tell you to use Golin's name is stupid and pretty lazy on my part. I'll put 'em all in the tavern as you suggest.

Sanik now puts up a bit more of a fight, but he's still pretty shit, because I wanted the player to have to intervene fairly quickly to save him.

I agree with this, particularly since all the later references regarding how "deviants" get in are to Golin and not Sanik.  I know that Sanik tells you to say "Tell them Golin sent you", so it's not that it doesn't make sense the way it is, it's just kinda awkward.

I noticed that too.  For a moment I was scratching my head, wondering "Who's Golin?"

From a purely esthetic perspective, I think the girl (forget her name) should be there too.  I just can't see either of them letting the other out of their sight until after they're off the island.  Besides, it should provide for a good warm-fuzzies moment seeing them together, as warm fuzzies would seem to me to be the primary reason to do it this way anyway.

Agreed.

"Perhaps Sanik can describe how the Cowled Wizards access Spellhold, and Golin can talk about how the 'deviants' get in."

Crap. Realized too late that this belongs in Quest Pack, not UB, but apparently I "cannot delete my own topics on this board." Could somebody move this, please?

Sanik shouldn't just stand there waiting for you to come to his rescue; I'd give him a Mirror Image and a couple of low-level offensive spells. On the flip side, the Assassin is rather on the weak side too....I would buff him up a tad and/or give him a partner.

I also don't think it's quite right that all of Captain Golin's lines were transferred wholesale to Sanik--I suggest putting Golin in the Vulgar Monkey with Sanik, and the two can share the dialogue. Perhaps Sanik can describe how the Cowled Wizards access Spellhold, and Golin can talk about how the 'deviants' get in.
