My e-mail seemed to bounce back, so...

Okay, I couldn't seem to load your save for whatever reason, but that doesn't matter. I installed what I imagined to be the relevant mods and tried it out in a game of my own.

Unfortunately, I couldn't reproduce this locally. He objected once, but I didn't see any looping. I very much doubt it's a Virtue issue. It's possible that another mod which I didn't install interjects at the same point and causes a problem. Does any other NPC dialogue occur at that point?

This, however, I can indeed reproduce. I think it's unlikely to be a Virtue issue either, though. It's probably worth reporting the bug on the G3 Tweak Pack forum (worth making it clear that not only do they loop, but a ton of different ones come up together in rapid succession too). It's most likely a Bioware bug that nobody noticed until Cam adjusted the triggers, but either way, the report will be useful.

I dread to think what playing with 10% XP would be like. I don't think something like 75% combat XP and 50% quest XP would be particularly suicidal though. I've no way of telling, really, since I haven't heard anything at all about people's experiences. Let me know how it goes if you do play though with it. :)

Done and done, though further explanation of why I say "just generally pooched" is included in the mail.

Hmm. Can you send me the affected save? SimDing0@pocketplane.net

Curiouser and curiouser....

Only one save is affected. Both Kelsey and Keto are perfectly happy in my other party. I suspect that the saves with the first party are just generally pooched.

The good news: upgrading from v16 to v17 did indeed correct my Minsc stutter bug, which was pretty awful.

The bad news: upgrading from v16 to v17 has caused Kelsey to decide I "really seem to have a cruel streak" even though party virtue is holding at 19 or 20.

Since this seems to have been a problem in prior versions, I wonder if it is only occurs when the party is already formed when Virtue is installed/reinstalled. I had no issue with Kelsey's happiness with v16, which was installed before I began my current campaign.

Ghrey and I have both checked, and we're fairly sure that it doesn't interrupt actions any more. But... breaking stealth, you say? Hmm, I didn't check that. Will do.

Sounds kickass! Out of curiosity, does party members expressing their views on the party still cause them to forget whatever they're doing (making them stop walking, break Stealth, interrupt spellcasting, etc.) at the time? If not, then your fixing that deserves an automatic +50 on Six's Cool-Beans-O-Meter.

I haven't implemented everything I wanted to for v17, but I've released it quickly because I believe it fixes the stutter bug many people have been experiencing. If anyone could confirm this, that'd be great. The full changelog is as follows:

 - Should install slightly faster.
 - Players no longer penalized for the actions of confused/charmed characters.
 - Many new opportunities for Virtue changes.
 - Paladins are now allowed two minor evil acts or one major before falling.
 - Various issues in Imoen's Spellhold dialogue resolved.
 - Fixed a number of NPC stutter bugs, of which Minsc's was the most notable.
 - NPC (un)happiness sounds play less often now.
 - Imoen no longer hears about party's evil acts while in Spellhold. It didn't really make sense.
 - Really affects Kelsey and Keto now.
 - Major overhaul to KIT.IDS patching.
 - Minsc and Jaheira penalty fixed yet again.
 - Added Italian translation by Al17 (http://rtt.altervista.org)

Expect v18 to be along fairly shortly with the features I've been talking about, like Atonement. For now, grab v17 from http://www.pocketplane.net/virtue/
