Done, you can grab 'em here: Weidu Area Templates

The link is still not working, is it? Any chance of fixing it? I would like to have those templates, too. :)

Kismet: the script you are looking for could be this one here (if you haven't already got it in the meantime): adding new containers in an already existing area

I'd like to add some containers to an area (and stick some items in those containers.)

The syntax would be pretty horrendous for such a command.
But, the templates are pretty horrendous anyway, so...

Surely some of this could easily be made into a WeiDU command to be more like ADD_KIT, and therefore be less of a pain in the arse.  If anything the bit at the start where you just read data could be turned into something like:

Code: [Select]
COPY_EXISTING ~AR0020.ARE~ ~override/AR0020.ARE~
 PREPARE_FOR_MODDING

This would then perform the 'prep work' section of the code i.e. some triggers have been incremented, and the standard variable names can be used within that COPY_EXISTING.

Even better obviously would the entire process becoming a nice WeiDU command like ADD_KIT but obviously thats gonna be harder.

Did these templates ever get put up someplace else?

They wouldn't be out of place in the WeiDU readme.

Good call that, I doubt CBisson would mind either.

The FW service provider no longer allows compressed file attachments. (zip, rar, etc...) I'll find a new local for them when I get my laptop back from the shop next week.

Forgotten Wars is now reporting this as being a 0 byte file.

Might as well, yeah.

I'd rather reassemble all the templates. The link on Studios is dead.

To bump, or not to bump?  Some other bits about slings and arrows.  To sleep, perchance to sticky?

Ah, they have taken their rightful place between IDW and a comment on IETME never being updated.
