No banter

Ive been playing BG1 EasyTutu for a while now and I havent seen any inter-party banter, even though Im at CHapter 3 already.  Enabled cheats and tried to force it with ctrl+I but it didnt work - ppl just kept saying stuff like ''yyes sir'' etc.  thanks

Did you actually install any add-ons, like the BG 1 NPC project? Otherwise, characters will not talk with one another, as TUTU merely changes the BG 1 game engine. The Gibberlings Three has  a number of TUTU add-ons: the aforementioned BG 1 NPC, two separate friendship paths (can't remember who, though), and two original NPCs.

Didnt download any mods but I thought in BG1 there were dialogues between characters.  I downloaded the NPC banter mod for it anyway and it's working fine so problem solved

Not banter as such. Just little two-line conversations between characters. Coran's flirting with Safana is about as developed as it gets, since they have *gasp* more than one conversation!
