Tutu/BGT Users: Please Read!
« on: May 08, 2006, 01:14:10 PM »
At the moment, the current release of BG1UB will *not* work on Tutu or BGT installations.  A separate Tutu version will be released soon (no, I don't have an ETA yet).  I do not use BGT, and therefore I will not be releasing a BGT version.  If, however, one is warranted, it will need to be developed by Other People, in which case I will host it here at PPG.

No tests have been run to see if the mod will work if it's installed on a BG1 installation that is then converted to Tutu.  If you choose to go that route, you do so at your own peril.

With MacReady's new version of EasyTutu out, I'm waiting for BG1UB for Tutu before I start my new BG1 game. Should be awesome!

So,  its been a little while, is there a EasyTutu version of this out there? with all the other cool stuff for tutu, this would be a rockin mod to go along with it.

Don't you think there would be an announcement thread if there was?

I would suggest mentioning this on the main download page. Right now it doesn't say anything about TUTU/BGT incommpatibility

Yes. Quite a lot of us use Tutu, and unfortunately I won't play BG1UB yet because of these incompatibilities. Would love some word on Tutu progress.

A progress report will be given when progress is made.  At the moment I'm still fixing issues with the BG1 version.

I think bug reports will come in faster once a TUTU/BGT version is up and running.

There are probably a lot of (people like) ;D me who are really eager to playtest this mod, but hesitant to touch their original BG installs. Constantly installing and re-installing BG2 every time I see something new for TUTU or BGT is something of a grind, but its a comfort to know that at least I have a clean copy of BG1 waiting on my hard-drive when I need it.

Looks like some great work so far though. Can't wait to try it out

We want BGT version!

BGT Tweak makes partially the same as some components of BG1 UB. Could be a problem?

When BG1 UB/BGT is ready. Just don't install both that BGT Tweak and BG1 UB/BGT.

I would respectfully suggest that in the meantime fans of BGT might petition their hosting site not to restrict BG1UB authors from posting on the BGT forum.

I'm currently banned from Spellhold Studios, which prevents me from accessing the BGT forum. This won't have any impact on the development of a BGT version of the mod--it'll go ahead regardless if somebody picks it up--but I do feel is slightly lacking in courtesy.

Oh it's been years since I last played this fabulous game
I've played lots more since but it's just not the same
From RPG's I love to RPG's I hate
It's never been as good as Baldur's Gate

Now Tutu is out and my interest renewed
It shows BG1 from a quite different view
And I just can't go back to the way it was
I'm Tutu addicted, call it a lost cause

But now I want to play Unfinished Business
But unfortunately cause of team busyness
I'm still waiting for a port to the Tutu I love
And pray with all might to the heavens above

Oh lord, give me a sign
Give me a call on your heavenly line
Bring UBTutu to Baldur's Gate
And save me from the torturing wait

Yes, porting Unfinished Business for BG1 to Easy Tutu should be top priority! It's not good to have to chose between them!

I love how you guys feel so free to tell someone who is giving you something for free what their "top priority" should be.
