Brilliant stuff. Cheesy

I assume it'll work for BGII, too, if desired?

Yes, but the ToB button will have to be put in it's propper place on the start menu and some appropriate backgrounds created (visualize the SoA/Tob
backgrounds with BG I button placement)

Yes I meant the map icons ,they currently look "strange" and  for some reason Tutu fix team seem to want to make them BG2 style while I'd love somebody to give them their old BG1 look.

As for rest the button - why not press "z" on your keyboard? Grin

Don't look at me. I prefer the BG1 style map by a mile, but I don't have a graphical skills to modify 2000-odd frames to make the BG1 map work properly.

As Sim said, you'd need to modify 2000 or so frames so that the white background is actually transparent.  Then you'd have to add the glow.

I could make them look darker that's only 52 frames. Will do the GUI fixes first though.

That wouldn't include the selection glow, though.  And are they darker in BG1?  I know they should be transparent so that the brown map shows up, instead of the current white bits in Tutu.

Hey, that's exactly what I meant (just skipped few words, bloody brain) if it's not feasible to make them properly, then a little tweak would be better than nothing, darker look would be just fine.
Sorry for nugging and thanx if you care for personal story about your creation - my wife never played BG1 (and I couldn't "make" her due to low res and no pause in inventory), we were playing tutu together and I was grumbling how it's just not the same with BG2 interface so now not only is she happy cause my grambling stopped but she says it looks and "feel" nicer.

I just found a bug with the GUI.  Using 800x600 resolution, the area maps have a thin band of blackness at the bottom (roughly half a screen).  This is caused by the mapnotes bar overlapping it.

Edit: Added screenshot.

The black area is the map area control not extending to the frame, killing bug. Thought I had changed it so the text floated at the top of the map though...

Another small bug.  The "Do you wish to rest?" window from when you click Rest on the area map screen is that of BG2.

Noted.

I've followed up a suggestion to do something about the floating text buttons in the journal screen.

And after accidentally pressing "start over" instead of "back" a couple of times I desided to do somthing about that
as well.

@Ladejarl - very nice, are this changes implemented in the download or is it still "internal" version?

Using 800x600 resolution, the middle Quickslot is not usable on the mainscreen, there is just a blank space. At 1024x768 it is there, working fine.

Here is quick patch http://home.online.no/~josthaug/artimages/TutuCHUsp1.exe

Unpack to your game folder (e.g. C:\Program Files\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\) and say yes when asked to overwrite.
Run  "Setup-TutuCHU.exe" again and choose the re-install option.

A quick note: Version 1.1 can be used without tutu.

Hi,
I just wanted to state a (minor?) problem I had with the BG1 GUI for TUTU.

The problem I encountered actually occurs right at the main-menu-screen of BG (single player, multiplayer, quit, movies). When the game starts an this screen is loaded I just see the background-image WITHOUT buttons. They only appear as I click somewhere in the free space where I guess the buttons would be. After they have appeared, my cursor somehow "erases" the buttons again as I move over them.

This just happens in the main-menu-screen (and subscreens). The menus while creating a character or ingame are unaffected.

Maybe this is just a special problem concerning my graphics-card (G4 TI-4200) and settings?

Two further things I noticed:
1) when I turned off 3D-acceleration the buttons are invisible at first as well, though the cursor does not erase them.
2) after I installed the "quick patch" (TutuCHUsp1.exe) the problem also occurred in the ingame menus.

Hope I'm not wasting anybody's time with the just stated problem...

Make sure you use version 1.1 of the GUI mod. You will still need the quickpatch though.

Anyway list your instalation. Makes any bugs more easy to hunt down.

Thanks for the quick reply...

I just noticed that I was using version 1.0 (downloaded it just a week ago).

Now I extracted version 1.1 to my BGII directory and reinstalled the BG1 GUI. Nevertheless nothings changes. Then I applied the quickpatch and nothing changed as well.

Here my install-details:
1) BG Original Saga
2) BG II - Collector's Edition + patch
3) BG1tutu v4
4) tutufix v13
5) BG1GUI v1.1 + quickpatch (reinstalled after v1.0)
6) tutusounds v3

I'm thankful for any help...

I'd hoped you wouldn't suggest that :-)

I guess I'll do that some other time - not enough time & patience to do a full reinstall, and as there are only the title menus affected there is no real obstacle in actually playing the game.

Many thanks anyway!

Kickass stuff, and two things:

 - The clock is wrong way around - it's on blue side when it's day and on yellow when it's night;
 - Bags of holding "Close Container" button is messed(Wrong type&placement).

That's minor though. Again, great job.

I may have another suggestion.

To any and all: Does BGII Collectors edition clean up the override folder ?
